Rubbing wings and beating hearts: A salon on how well-being can be heard
What kind of acoustic environment do we need in order to feel at ease and stay healthy? And how would the animals that live in the same city as us answer this question?
Assisted by researchers from the TUM Public Science Lab and the Pianeta web app, the stridulation and chirping of grasshoppers, crickets and cicadas are interwoven with the pulse and rhythm of human breathing and the human heartbeat. The walk takes visitors through acoustic spheres of listening, sounding and being heard. Along the way, it scatters trails and follows traces of urban coexistence among different forms of life.
HörSalons are an art/science format developed by CitySoundscapes. This event is part of the Ostpark activation initiative.
